About:

My parents are owners of Big Eddy Lodge. I am their daughter, Michela Carriere, I own Aski Holistic Adventures which is based out of Big Eddy Lodge and I help guide the bird Tours.

This is our family home, situated in the Saskatchewan River Delta, 55km from Cumberland House, SK, on the northeast side of the province.  We are accessible only by boat in summer, we are off-grid location on a traditional Métis trapline. On our tours, we invite people to be part of our family and share in our unique lifestyle in the woods.

Delta Bird Watching Weekend. 3 night stay in a cosy cabin, all meals provided.  Hike in the boreal forests and marshlands, Paddle in the stream and lakes of the Sask River Delta and observe, see and listen to migratory birds in their nesting habitat. Tickets are 790$ per person, that includes boat ride, 3 nights accommodations, meals, and guiding.  Maximum 8 people. Our cabins are shared accommodations, we have outhouses, sauna/shower facility, kitchen lodge where we share home-cooked meals. There is no wifi or cell service in the area, it’s a perfect place to “unplug” from the world.

*There are over 200 breeding species in the Saskatchewan River Delta and many more that fly over or pass over the area.
