Learn the Art of Handcrafted Log Homes in the Heart of the Saskatchewan River Delta
Build with Tradition, Learn for a Lifetime
Join us for a one-of-a-kind, hands-on learning experience where land-based knowledge, practical skills, and cultural teachings come together.
Our Traditional Log Building Course invites you to step back into ancestral ways of building—using natural materials, time-honored techniques, and tools passed down through generations.
Under the guidance of experienced log builders, you’ll learn the foundations of off-grid log construction, tool safety and maintenance, and the methods used to craft a Trapper-style cabin using local timber. Whether you're a beginner or looking to deepen your skills, this course is designed to be both empowering and practical, grounded in community and connection to place.
What You’ll Learn
Help build a Trapper-style cabin and see how these skills can spark local opportunities like rentals or events.
Why Learn Log Building?
This course is more than just learning a skill—it’s about reclaiming knowledge, working with your hands, and honouring the relationship between people and the land. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of traditional construction methods and a renewed respect for what it means to build something that lasts.
