Marathon Canoe Training Camp 2026

May 15–18, 2026 | Big Eddy Lodge

Join us for Aski Holistic Adventures’ Annual Spring Marathon Canoe Training Camp — a long weekend of hard paddling, skill-building, and community on the Saskatchewan River.

Led by marathon canoe experts Jeff Kolka, Bruce Barton, Roxanne Barton, and Solomon Carriere, this camp is perfect for racers and trippers looking to start the season strong.


Camp Details

  • 📅 Dates: May 15–18, 2026

  • 📍 Location: Big Eddy Lodge (off-grid, Saskatchewan River Delta)

  • 💰 Cost: $275 per person

  • 🛶 Bring your own canoe — we take care of the rest


Race Schedule

  • Friday: Downstream Stage Race – 3 hours

  • Saturday: LaMans Start Stage Race – 2.5 hours

  • Sunday: Interval Start & Portage Stage Race – 2.5 hours

  • Monday: Upstream Stage Race – 6 hours (optional boat shuttle out)


What This Camp Is About

Start your paddling season early and challenge yourself with intense marathon-style paddling. We’ll cover advanced techniques, including efficient strokes, trimming, buoy turns, shallow water paddling, portaging, and race strategy — all while sharing the river with a strong paddling community.


What to Bring

  • Canoe, paddle, life jacket

  • Personal clothing & supplies

  • Bug jacket, towel

  • Drinking water & personal snacks


What’s Included

  • Shared cabin accommodations & bedding

  • All meals (Friday supper to Monday breakfast)

  • Marathon canoe coaching

  • Sauna access

  • Drone footage of the races


Arrival Info

Meet us at Dale Martin’s Landing on Friday at 4:00 PM to unload gear. Paddle 31 km downstream to Big Eddy Lodge (approx. 3 hours). Supper and sauna await on arrival.


Important Notes

  • No Wi-Fi or cell service (please do not bring Starlink)

  • First aid on-site; waiver required
