Guide d'aventure | Herboriste | Perleur | Auteur

I am an Indigenous adventurer, land guardian, and guide from Kamistaphigumiwak, 60 km northwest of Cumberland House, SK. Raised and living off the grid with my family in the heart of the Saskatchewan River Delta—the largest inland delta in North America—I have spent my life surrounded by one of the most diverse ecosystems of plants, animals, and birds.
My journey began with a homeschooling education rooted in land-based learning, later complemented by studies in Horticulture at Vancouver Island University and Biology at the University of Saskatchewan. This education allowed me to bridge traditional Indigenous plant medicine with modern approaches to health and healing.
In 2024, I appeared on Season 11 of the hit survival series ALONE (History Channel), where I showcased my skills as an outdoorswoman and my deep connection to the land. Living completely isolated with only a few tools, I showcased my skills in bushcraft, hunting, fishing, and plant medicine—along with the deep land connection that defines my way of life I have also appeared on the hit APTN series MERCHANTS OF THE WILD, sharing my way of life and teachings with indigenous audiences.
Inspired by my adventurous spirit, I founded Aski Holistic Adventures in 2018. Through retreats, guided experiences, and cultural teachings, I invite people to disconnect from the modern world and reconnect with themselves, the land, and community. My work blends philosophy, story, traditional knowledge, and wilderness practices to create experiences that are physically, emotionally, and spiritually transformative.
My path has been shaped by my family: my father, Solomon Carriere, a World Champion canoe paddler who taught me ancestral skills and respect for the water, and my mother, Renée Carriere, a renowned land-based educator who instilled in me the passion for teaching and sharing knowledge.
Today, I guide others into the northern wilderness to experience adventure, healing, and connection. Whether paddling remote waterways, practicing traditional skills, or learning plant medicines, I aim to create spaces where people can find resilience, meaning, and the good life—what my Cree ancestors call Mino-pimatisowin.
